Bhubaneswar: To check sale of spurious sweets on the occasion of Diwali, a joint team of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Food Safety department conducted surprise raids at various sweets shops in the city.
Sweet shops in all the three zones under the BMC limits were raided by the officials and quality checked.
It may be mentioned, that on Tuesday a joint team of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Food Safety Department had carried out a surprise inspection at KFC Badambadi after receiving repeated complaints about stale and sour bread was reported.
