Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday stated that total 88 persons have returned to the state from the United Kingdom (UK) as on December 29.
In an update on the UK returnees in the evening, the BMC said of the total returnees so far, 17 belong to the areas outside the BMC while 9 have been marked as double entry and the rest 62 returnees belong to BMC region.
Of the returnees to BMC areas, 50 have been contacted with the rest 12 remaining out of contact.
As many as 15 contacted persons have undergone COVID-19 test while 20 returnees are yet to appear for the test. The rest 15 contacted persons belong to the first phase returnees.
