Bhubaneswar: Continuing its drive against the commercial establishments violating the COVID-19 guidelines in the city, the enforcement squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sealed a bar and imposed penalty on several shops in Infocity and Patia.
During the enforcement drive in North Zone of the city, the squad sealed the 99 Hints bar in Infocity and collected a penalty of Rs 5000 from 99 North Restaurant for violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
In Khao Gali, a food van was closed and Rs 13500 fine collected from other food stalls for not using face masks. Tea shop Tapri Time near KIMS was also closed as heavy crowd was observed there.
The drive was carried out under the leadership of additional commissioner Laxmikant Sethi, ZDC North Purandar Nanda and assistant commissioner, Enforcement Lilan Prasad Sahu.
