Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has collected about 2400 samples for COVID-19 testing through mobile service in two months.
The beneficiaries include 700 senior citizens, 70 pregnant women and 200 people with physical disability. The BMC’s facility aims at reaching the people who are unable to move out of their houses due to some problems for COVID-19 test.
On Friday, a medical team took the sample of a 102-year-old woman in old town area of the city. On getting the information, the team members went to the house of the woman identified as Rani Sahoo at Barik Sahi. She was lying on a bed with fever. They took the sample and ensured follow-up medical services for the woman.
