Kendrapada: The state government has launched boat services for the tourists at another entrance point to Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapada district.
According to official sources, the Forest department has provided the boat facility at Dangmal entrance to enable the tourists to go around the national park. The visitors, who had to go around Dangmal on foot, can now move in five silent boats deployed in the area.
The the boat service, which will charge Rs 2800 per hour, is expected to attract more tourists to new areas of the national park to watch wildlife like deer and crocodiles in natural habitation.
Earlier, the boat services were available at Jaynagar, Gupti and Khola entrances.
It may be noted that the national park was reopened to the tourists on August 5 after it was closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
