Rourkela: An elderly man, who had been missing for over 24 hours, was found dead under bridge on National Highway No. 143 in Odisha’s Rourkela on Thursday.
According to sources, the body of the man, identified as Bhagwan Agarwal (75) of Deluxe Gali in the steel city, was recovered by the police in the morning. The body was floating in the water under Tarkera bridge on the National Highway.
The man had been missing from his house since Wednesday morning and his family members had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
The body was spotted in the morning by some locals who informed the police about it.
Police and fire services personnel rushed to the site after getting information and recovered the body, which was sent to hospital for postmortem. Further investigation is underway.
