Cuttack: The body of a youth was found from a water tank of an apartment at Nima Sahi under Purighat police limits in Cuttack on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Dayanidhi Maharana of Jhola Sahi in the district. The reason of his death is yet to be ascertained. On being informed, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The police have been trying to find out whether Dayanidhi was murdered and then thrown into the water tank.
According to sources, a case at Purighat police station was pending against him. As he was wanted by the police, it is suspected that he was hiding in the tank to evade arrest. His body was sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
