Bhubaneswar: Special squad of Commissionerate Police has arrested bouncer gang mastermind Raghav Jena from Jatni in Odisha’s Khurda district, sources said on Wednesday.
The gang allegedly forcefully took possession of disputed land in the city, ransacked shops and was also involved in attack on policemen. Jena was wanted in four cases registered at Nayapalli police station. Sharp weapons and incriminating materials were seized from his possession.
The sources further said that over 15 members of the gang were arrested earlier in connection with these cases.
In April, enforcement squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) razed the illegal construction of Jena built over government land in Jharpada area. Seven members of the gang were arrested for ransacking two shops in Nayapalli area in March.
