Balasore: A boy from Hansipatna village under Soro block in Odisha’s Balasore was found hanging from a tree near his house on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Goutam Lenka.

According to sources, he allegedly took the extreme step after a quarrel with his younger sibling. Goutam and his younger brother had a fight over a ball this morning. The younger brother went to school after their parents intervened and calmed them down. Instead of going to school, Goutam went to the forest near the house. When he did not return, his parents searched for him and found him hanging from a tree.

He was immediately rushed to Community Health Centre at Soro, where doctors declared him dead.

Soro police soon reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

A kin of Goutam told the media there was no disturbance in the family and there could be no other reason for his death by suicide other than the fight with his brother.
