‘Bulbbul’ actress Tripti Dimri has joined the cast of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. The film was announced on January 1, 2021 and Tripti is the latest edition to the cast, Filmare reported.

The makers were impressed with Tripti Dimri’s audition tape as well as her work. They thought she would bring that freshness to the character and a young appeal, Filmfare quoted sources as saying.

‘Animal’ will be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, it also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani, the report added.

The makers had announced the film on New Year’s eve. As the clock struck 12 on December 31 night, the official Twitter handle of T-Series shared a video that had Ranbir Kapoor’s vocals. The video was captioned, “Saal ki shuruwat, seeti marke honi chahiye! Presenting #Animal, starring #RanbirKapoor. Let the fun begin! (sic).”
