Sonepur: At least 14 persons were injured after a government-run bus met with an accident following a tyre burst near Kusamal village under Dunguripali police limits in Odisha’s Sonepur district on Monday morning.
According to source, the accident took place when the bus was en route to Nabarangpur from Bargarh as the driver lost control over the steering wheel and the vehicle veered into a paddy field after the tyre burst.
Police and Fire Service personnel soon reached the spot and rescued the injured, who were then taken to Dunguripali community health centre. Among the injured, the condition of three is stated to be critical.
Police have seized the vehicle and initiated an investigation.
