Huelva: Kidambi Srikanth reached his maiden BWF World Championships final defeating compatriot Lakshya Sen in a men’s singles semi-final here on Saturday.
Srikanth got the better of Lakshya 17-21, 21-14, 21-17 to set up the summit clash against the winner of the second semi-final between Singaporean Loh Kean Yew and Denmark’s Anger Antonsen.
So far, India has won two men’s singles medals. Prakash Padukone won in 1983 and B Sai Praneeth in 2019.
