Calcutta HC Admits PIL Seeking CBI Probe Into Singer KK’s Death

Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Monday admitted a PIL seeking a CBI probe into the death of playback singer KK.

The PIL was filed by advocate Rabishankar Chattopadhyay. Chattopadhyay claimed that there was utter mismanagement at Nazrul Manch, where KK was performing before his death, and blamed the local administration for the chaos.

KK died on May 31 after performing at the annual college fest of Gurudas College at Nazrul Manch in South Kolkata. There have been allegations of mismanagement at the venue. During his performance, KK had complained of uneasiness a number of times.
