Paradip: A resident of Cuttack’s Nua Bazaar died and three others were injured in a collision between a car and a truck near Loknath Gada on Cuttack-Paradip road late on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sarada Prasanna Swain.
The accident took place while they were heading for Cuttack. Swain died on the spot. Two other occupants of the car – Siba Prasad Swain and Deepak Jena – have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Bijay Kumar Sahu, who suffered minor injuries, was discharged after being provided first aid at a hospital at Atharabanki.
The truck drive fled with the vehicle soon after the accident, sources said.
