New Delhi: Finally, some good news from the automobile sector. Sales of passenger vehicles rose 17 per cent in the Q2 of the current financial year compared to the same period in 2019.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) said in a press release that car sales have grown by 16 per cent.
SIAM president, Kenichi Ayukawa attributed the demand to the festive season but remained cautious in stating that “whether to see recovery is real or sustainable we’ll have to wait to see demand in January-March quarter.”
