Here’s some good news for MBA aspirants, who have not yet registered for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to IIMs and other management institutes.
IIM Kozhikode, which is conducting CAT 2019, has extended the last date for registration to September 25. The deadline was up to 5 pm on Wednesday.
Important dates to remember
CAT 2019 registration ends at 5 pm on September 25
CAT admit card download begins at 5 pm on October 23
CAT exam to be conducted on November 24
The exam on November 24 (Sunday) will be conducted in two sessions. The duration of the test will be 180 minutes.
There will be three sections
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice type. Instead, direct answers will have to be typed on the screen. The tutorials will clearly explain this, said a CAT statement. Basic calculator for computation will be allowed.
Tutorials to understand the format of the test will be available on the CAT website from October 16. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials available on the CAT website well in advance, the statement added.
