Kendrapara: In view of the rise in crime here, police have decided to install 36 CCTV cameras in key places of the town and surrounding areas.
The cameras will be set up before Gajalaxmi Puja at the main entry points and exit points of Kendrapara town such as Tini Muhani, Bus Stand, Kakata Chhak, Bala Baba Chhak and Bada Hata among others.
A control room will also be set up near Old Motor Cycle Stand to monitor the cameras 24×7.
