Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the reports on malpractices at some examination centres in Odisha during the annual High School Certificate (HSC) and Plus Two examinations this year, the Odisha government has decided to install CCTV cameras in all examination centres from 2018-19 academic session.

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, School and Mass Education secretary, Pradipta Mohapatra said the authorities of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) have been directed to install CCTV cameras in all examination centres.

“A decision to this effect has been taken to ensure that there would be no malpractice in any examination centre. With an objective to declare all centres as ‘zero copy zone, the BSE and the CHSE authorities have been asked to strictly adhere to the directive of the department and install CCTV cameras in all the centres,” Mohapatra pointed out.
