Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday said that the Centre will provide all possible support to the Odisha government for the smooth conduct of Rath Yatra in Puri.
“As the Supreme Court has allowed Rath Yatra to be held only in Puri, the original abode of Lord Jagannath, I am quite hopeful that the state government will efficiently conduct the Yatra with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines,” Pradhan said.
Referring to the permission granted by Supreme Court, he said several persons like Gobardhan Peeth Shankaracharya, Gajapati Maharaja, Chhattisha Nijog and the Jagannath temple sevayats played a major role. Moreover, the indomitable will power of 4.5 crore Odias has made it possible.
“These are the wishes of the God who assures His devotees when they are under the cloud of uncertainty,” Dharmendra said.
