Bhubaneswar: In order to prevent appointment of teachers in state government schools with fake document, the digital process of issuing certificates is going on, said School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Das on Tuesday.
Speaking to media persons in Bhubaneswar, Das said the drive to detect the teachers, who have been appointed with duplicate certificates, has been intensified. The legal procedures against such persons have also been initiated, he added.
“More than 100 fake teachers have been detected since I became the minister in 2019. Most of them have been convicted for their offence and sent to jail,” the minister said.
The drive will be further intensified and the digital process hastened so that fake teachers would not be appointed in future, Das said. “There is a section of people who resort to cheating to get appointment to the noble profession of teaching. My department is determined to prevent their entry into the schools,” said the minister.
