Bhubaneswar: The Commisionerate Police arrested five members of inter-state gang of chain snatchers and seized valuables from them on Wednesday.
Police have recovered 24 gold chains and six mobile phones from their possession.
According to reports, the gang was targeting women moving in less deserted patches in Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Puri and snatched their ornaments.
They also used stolen two-wheelers for their loot to escape police clutches but were nabbed by a special squad when they were trying to rob one woman at Kalpana Square here.
