Bhubaneswar: Police and childline officials on Friday rescued a minor boy from Bhubaneswar railway station.
According to sources, the boy had fled his home at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district, where he was allegedly tortured and tied up in chains, and boarded a train to Bhubaneswar.
Some locals spotted the boy and informed childline officials and police about him. Police have reportedly sent the rescued minor to city-based Ruchika Child Helpline.
Investigation is on to find out the role of his parents in the alleged torture of the boy, the sources added.
