Rourkela: Charred body of a 16-year-old girl was recovered from a locked house at Panda Colony in Rourkela on Friday.
The deceased, a resident of Bhadrak district, was reportedly working in a catering firm.
According to sources, some neighbours became suspicious on finding no activity inside the rented house. They found the main door the door locked from inside.
On being alerted, police reached the spot and recovered the body after breaking open the door of the house.
Neighbours told police that the girl was staying in the house with her maternal uncle and aunt. They suspect that she might have committed suicide over some family dispute.
