Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday urged people not to panic and fight the third wave of COVID-19 by following the COVID-19 guidelines.
“With everyone’s support, the pandemic will soon be over and life and livelihood will return to normal,” he said.
He also paid tributes to the COVID warriors, who lost their lives during the pandemic.
In his Republic Day message, the CM further said, “Diversity is India’s strength and we will not allow it to get damaged. India can be the best Republic in the world if the values of the Constitution are reflected in our words and deeds.”
Referring to the freedom movement, Neveen said that struggle was for equality and justice and against violence and exploitation. It was the greatest victory of humanity in the whole world, he said.
The CM also paid his respects to the legendary leaders of the country – Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Maulana Azad, Dr Ambedkar, Veer Surendra Sai, Bakshi Jagabandhu, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das, Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das, Gopabandhu Choudhury, Nabakrushna Choudhury, Saheed Laxman Nayak, Maa Rama Devi, Saheed Baji Rout, Malati Choudhury, Parbati Giri, Dr Harekrushna Mahtab, and Biju Patnaik.
