Mumbai: From Shah Rukh Khan to Shweta Bachchan to the Ambanis, many big names attended the wedding reception of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on Saturday night.
From Karaoke nights to drinking glasses of champagne, it was a fun night hosted by the Bhatts and Kapoors, the India Today reported, adding that guests were pre-informed to not bring any gifts for the newlywed.
Besides Shah Rukh Khan, some close friends of the couple, including Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Juno Chopra, Pritam, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Aditya Roy Kapur, joined the bash, which seemed to have a formal theme. Among the family members, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Shweta Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, Aadar Jain, and Armaan Jain were present.
Karisma Kapoor shared a picture with Ranbir and Alia, who looked gorgeous in a silver shimmery dress, from the post-wedding party, on Sunday.
Earlier, Riddhima had shared photos from the night on her Instagram stories. She was seen posing with her brother Ranbir in one while another was clicked pictures with other guests at the party. Have a look at them here:
Karisma Kapoor had also shared that she was the lucky lady at Alia Bhatt’s ‘kaleera’ ceremony. She shared two pictures and wrote: “The Kaleera fell on me guys !”, using the hashtags ‘couldI be more excited’ and ‘mere bhai ki shaadi’.
She looked immensely happy after Alia Bhatt’s ‘kaleera’ fell on her. Riddhima and Karan Johar could be seen cheering her along with other guests in one of those pictures.
According to Punjabi tradition, ‘kaleera’ is tied onto the bride’s bangles and one who catches it is said to be next in line to get married.
Riddhima Kapoor commented on her post, “Best” with multiple red heart emojis.
