Bhubaneswar: Doctors in the Odisha capital are ensuring the smile of children with a cleft lip and cleft palate. Over a 100 such poor and needy patients will undergo surgery free of cost as part of the ‘Future of Smiles Mission’ is being held from August 25 to September 1 at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here.
The programme is being organised by the Bengaluru-based Inga Health Foundation with the support of Operation Smile Inc., USA in collaboration with the IMS and SUM Hospital and Institute of Dental Sciences, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University.
All the medicines, consumables, equipment and instruments will be brought here by Operation Smile Inc., an international medical charity, and Inga Health Foundation.
A multi-disciplinary team of medical experts drawn from USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, China, Philippines, Morocco, Ghana and India will undertake medical evaluation of the children.
The surgeries will be conducted in IMS and SUM Hospital.
