Kolkata: Social media was on Sunday flooded with childhood photographs of celebrities, stars and thousands of other users to mark Children’s Day.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, did their part to make Children’s Day memorable for some of their shining stars.
The IPL franchise took to social media to share pictures of seven players — Shubman Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, Rahul Tripathi, Venkatesh Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and Nitish Rana – of how they would have looked like if they were still in school.
“Which Knight do you relate with? Turning back the clock this #ChildrensDay” KKR wrote on their official Instagram page and Twitter handle, along with the pictures.
Every picture has a roll number and a remark. Opener Gill has been mentioned as ‘class monitor’, pacer Mavi is ‘quiet mischief monger’, spinner Kuldeep Yadav ‘dabba chor’, allrounder Venkatesh Iyer ‘blackboard duster’, batsman Nitish Rana ‘prankster’, hard-hitting batsman Rahul Tripathi ‘favourite’ and fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti ‘backbencher’.

The Knight Riders finished runner-up in IPL-14, which was halted midway in May due to the raging second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in India before being completed in the UAE in October-November.
KKR scripted a remarkable turnaround in the UAE phase of IPL to storm into the final before losing to Chennai Super Kings.
