Trivandrum: Odisha earned a crucial 69-run first-innings lead in their CK Nayudu Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh at St Xavier’s KCA cricket ground here on Thursday.
Odisha took their overnight score from 248/3 to 400, thereby surpassing MP’s total of 331. MP reached 111/4 in their second innings at stumps on the third day.
With a day’s play left, MP lead by just 42 runs with 6 wickets intact.

MP made a steady start in their second innings but were pushed back by left-arm spinner Saurabh Kanojia, who picked up three wickets conceding 54 runs.
Odisha will look to push for an outright win on the final day, having lost their opening match by an innings to Jharkhand.
