Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday presented police medals to 13 selected cops at a special function organised at Jaydev Bhawan here on the occasion of Independence Day.
Sushant Nath (IG) and Dillip Das (SP, Headquarters) received President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.
Similarly, as many as eleven officers were honoured with police medal for meritorious service. They are S.Shyni (DIG of police SWR, Koraput), V. Raghunath Rao (additional SP, Koraput), Dillip Kumar Purohit (SDPO, Titlagarh, Balangir), Bibhudendu Sahoo (DSP, vigilance directorate, Cuttack), Suryamani Pradhan (inspector of police, Bhubaneswar Urban Police District), Geeta Rani Sethi (security wing, Bhubaneswar), Pramod Kumar Sahoo (inspector of police, special branch, Bhubaneswar), Dalabandhu Pradhan (retired SI of police, Koraput), Subash Chandra Mishra (ASI of police, CID, CB, Cuttack), Mohan Chandra Mallick (Havildar, Kalahandi) and Rameswar Naik (Constable, Kalahandi).
The function was attended by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and DGP KB Singh.
