Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday wished good luck to 15 contestants of ‘Skilled in Odisha’ who will participate in the 47th World Skills Competition in Lyon, France.
Speaking through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said it was a matter of pride that 15 out of 60 contestants from the country had been selected from Odisha.
“This is an opportunity for you to showcase your talent and bring laurels for the state and the country. The ‘Skilled in Odisha’ aims at empowering our youth and putting them on the global map,” he said.
“You are representing India in the global competition. I pray to Lord Jagannath for all of you to be successful in meeting your challenges,” Majhi added.
Sampad Chandra, Minister of Industries and Skill Development and Technical Education congratulated the contestants and wished them best of luck.
Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Principal Secretary of SDTE department NBS Rajput and Director Rashmita Panda were present. The WorldSkills Competition will take place from September 10 to 15.
