CM Grants Rs 38.86 Cr For Eight Blocks Under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 38.86 crore for 163 panchayats in eight blocks of six districts under the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.

The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,480 projects after interacting with block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.

Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 6.01 crore has been earmarked for 160 projects in 26 panchayats of Ghatagaan block in Keonjhar district, Rs 4.80 crore for 150 projects in 20 panchayats of Saharapada block in Keonjhar district, Rs 8.18 crore for 310 projects in 31 panchayats of Pattamundai block in Kendrapada district, Rs 6 crore for 269 projects in 24 panchayats of Betanati block in Mayurbhanj district and Rs 3.50 crore for 125 projects in 14 panchayats of Khunta block in Mayurbhanj district.

The CM also sanctioned Rs three crore for 187 projects in 17 panchayats of Muniguda block of Rayagada district, Rs 3.12 crore for 157 projects in 14 panchayats of Nakatideula block of Sambalpur district and Rs 4.25 crore for 122 projects in 17 panchayats of Chillika block of Khordha district.

Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 1073.49 crore for 43,412 projects in 4,738 panchayats of 218 blocks.

More than 1.5 lakh people were present in the programme.

It may be noted that under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana, the Chief Minister is discussing the proposals directly with the villagers and then he is sanctioning the amount for the proposed projects.
