CMS Cash Depositor Held For Siphoning Rs 45 Lakh While Loading Bank ATMs In Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: A cash depositor of CMS Infosystem has been arrested for allegedly misappropriating Rs 45 lakh in the name of loading cash in different bank ATMs in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The accused has been identified as Deepak Kumar Padhi (42) of Mandiapalli under the jurisdiction of Gopalpur police station, sources said on Tuesday.

CMS Infosystem does the role of loading cash in the ATMs of different banks. Accused Deepak, who was working as a cash depositor in the company, had allegedly misappropriated Rs 45 lakh in the last one year while loading the ATMs with money.

Police swung into action after Bhawani Prasad Samanta, Berhampur Manager of CMS Infosystem, lodged a complaint against Deepak Kumar Padhi about misappropriation of huge money.

Based on the complaint, the accused was detained and questioned. He confessed that he had misappropriated Rs. 45 lakh, according to Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M.
