Mumbai: Actor-comedian Sunil Grover was on Thursday discharged from the Asian Heart Institute, where he underwent bypass surgery.
Grover, who was hospitalized after suffering a minor heart attack, also tested COVID-positive last month. An angiography revealed that all his three arteries had blockage, which had to be operated on.
Grafting was done in all three arteries, including at two places in of those.
“Since he has received all arterial grafts using internal mammary arteries, his long-term results should be good and will be able to lead a normal life in future with proper care, which include proper diet, exercise, yoga and medicine,” Dr Panda, who treated the popular actor-comedian, was quoted as saying by ANI.
Grover made a name for himself by appearing on shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show.
He has also featured in web series like Tandav and Sunflower, among others.
