Bhubaneswar: The Congress has appointed three observers for elections to Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly in Odisha.
General secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) KC Venugopal, in an official notification on Sunday, said party leaders Meenakshi Natarajan, Harak Singh Rawat and Pargat Singh have been appointed by the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge as observers for dual elections in Odisha.
The newly appointed observers will work in coordination with state in-charge, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) and party secretaries attached to the state during the elections.
The appointment of the three observers come into effect immediately, the notification said.
