Bhubaneswar: In a show of strength ahead of elections, while BJP has lined up several Central leaders to visit Odisha, the Congress’ star campaigners Priyanka Gandhi and Sachin Pilot will come to the state.
According to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Sarat Patnaik, Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit during the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to the state had evoked a very strong response and strengthened the morale of the party workers.
Stating that the state unit of the Congress was gearing up to launch the campaign for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Patnaik said, “Both Sachin and Priyanka will come to Odisha for campaigning for state leaders. Besides, they will attend party programmes at several places.”
Though the OPCC president did not announce the date of the two leaders’ visit, he said it will certainly encourage the state leaders and workers.
It may be noted that four senior BJP leaders Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh besides party’s national president JP Nadda are scheduled to visit Odisha. They will attend party meetings and address public meetings.
