Bhubaneswar: While the Odisha unit of Congress began its 10-day statewide ‘fuel protest on Wednesday, the Left parties announced a 6-hour Odisha Bandh on July 15 over rising prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities.
The Odisha Bandh will be observed from 6 am to 12 noon.
Meanwhile, the workers of the grand old party are holding demonstrations at all block offices. Similar protests will be held at the sub-division level on July 9, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC)president Niranjan Patnaik on told media on Monday.
A signature campaign over the issue will be held in Bhubaneswar on July 14 and another in front of all filling stations on July 17, he added.
The Congress party has urged consumers not to buy petrol, diesel and gas on July 15 as a mark of protest.
