Bhubaneswar: Amid the ongoing political battle between Congress and BJP for the upcoming Karnataka Assemble elections, rumours about Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s marriage to Raebareli MLA Aditi Singh are doing the rounds.
The pictures of them together made several rounds on social media and some also announced that the marriage will take place this month.
Among the pictures shared, the one with Aditi in a green saree standing with a couple of people along with Sonia Gandhi, was the most popular. Some even congratulated Rahul Gandhi, wishing him luck.
However, there is no one in the picture from their Gandhi or Singh’s families. Aditi, too, denied the rumours, stating that Rahul is her ‘Rakhi brother’. “Such rumours upset me. I would like to clarify that Rahul Ji is my rakhi brother and I am really saddened by such rumours on social media,” she said.
Daughter of Akhilesh, a five-time MLA from Raebareli, 29-year-old Singh had won her first election with a margin of more than 90,000 votes and holds a Masters in Management Studies from Duke University, USA.
Rahul Gandhi, son of Sonia Gandhi, is currently the president of Indian National Congress and a member of the 16th Lok Sabha from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.
