Bhubaneswar: With the rain continuing for the last two days due to a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, normal life has been thrown out of gear in many parts of the state, while Dhenkanal, Bhadrak and Malkangiri districts face a flood-like situation.
Kamakhyanagar sub-division in Dhenkanal district was inundated as the district received heavy rainfall. Many kutcha houses were reportedly damaged and trees were uprooted blocking the roads.
Several roads and bridges were submerged under the rainwater. According to reports, rainwater was flowing four-five feet above Damasala bridge snapping road communication between Bhuban and Kamakhyanagar.
