Nabarangpur: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted raids at the house and office of Jharigaon Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (LAMPCS) managing director Mansai Panka on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Officials of the anti-corruption department raided Panka’s residence and paternal house at Bharandiparam under Jharigaon police limits in the district, a single-storey building at Umerkote and his office at Jharigaon.
During the simultaneous raids, several documents and papers were verified and seized for investigation.
“The move came after a search warrant was issued by the Jeypore Special Vigilance Judge after receiving a complaint that Panka has possessed properties disproportionate to his known sources of income”, an official from the vigilance department informed.
