Puri: Selfies of a police officer inside Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri have gone viral.
According to reports, sub-inspector of Sea Beach police station, Dilip Panda, had gone to the Jagannath Temple on Monday to perform ‘shradha’ of his forefathers on the occasion of Mahalaya.
After performing the rituals, Panda took some selfie at Baishi Pahacha, Anand Bazaar and near the Patita Pabana and later posted them on the Facebook.
Since the devotees are debarred from taking mobile phone and camera inside the temple, action would be taken against the sub-inspector for violating the order, a senior police officer said.
