Puri: In view of the steady rise in COVID-19 cases, the Puri district administration has amped up checking at different important junctions in the town besides the Jagannath temple and its surroundings.
Not willing to take chances, the police administration is checking masks and ensuring social distancing while allowing entry into the temple. On the day nearly 500 persons were caught and asked to strictly adhere to COVID norms.
All devotees coming to Puri will now have to follow COVID protocol strictly.
