In less than 48 hours’ time, Barabati Stadium will stage the second T20 International between India and South Africa.

The excitement has been palpable since the beginning of this week when tickets went on sale, first online and then offline.

Odisha’s cricket enthusiasts can’t wait to watch their favourite cricketers perform in front of their eyes on Sunday (June 12).

Scores of people turned up in front of Hotel Mayfair to try and catch a glimpse of the players as both teams arrived at Bhubaneswar on Friday afternoon from New Delhi.

The craze in the twin cities of Odisha will rise further from Saturday, when the two teams get down to business.

The Proteas, led by Temba Bavuma, will have an optional training session from 1 pm tomorrow.

Rishabh Pant-captained Team India, on the other hand, will train from 5 pm on Saturday.

The men in blue will be under some pressure after having lost the series-opener by 7 wickets at Ferozeshah Kotla on Thursday night, despite putting up a formidable total of 211/4 in 20 overs.
