Countdown To Polls: Popular Punjabi Rapper Sidhu Mussewala Joins Congress

New Delhi: Congress on Friday, took Punjabi rapper Sidhu Mussewala, with a fan following of millions into its fold ahead of the Punjab Assembly election.

The 28-year-old Punjabi singer and actor will contest in the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls. “He might contest from Mansa or Maur,” said a senior Punjab Congress leader.

Sidhu Moosewala was very vocal during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, which have now been repealed. He lent his support to “Chalo Delhi” protest call by farmers’ associations.

In December 2020, Moose Wala reached Tikri Border where farmers were protesting and asked the central government to address farmers’ concerns related to three farm laws.

Born on June 17, 1993, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moose Wala belongs to the Moose Wala village in Mansa district. Moose Wala has a fan following running into millions and is popular for his gangster raps.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s mother was a village sarpanch. He holds a degree in electrical engineering. He learned music during his college days and later moved to Canada.
