Bhadrak: The Bhadrak district administration imposed Section 144 in Dhamnagar NAC for counting of votes. The curfew will be effective from 9 pm of Tuesday to 9 am of Thursday.
The sub-district magistrate took the decision with an aim to maintain law and order in the area. The counting of votes in all Wards will begin at 8 am.
Movement of four-wheelers in the vicinity of Dhamnagar Kalyan Mandap , the designated polling centre, has also been banned.
The State Election Commission had ordered repoll in Booth No. 03 (Ward No. 02), Booth No. 8, 9 (Ward No. 5), Booth No. 16 (Ward No. 9), Booth No. 17, 18 (Ward no. 10) of Dhamnagar NAC after election could not be held due to disruptions at these booths on March 24.
