New Delhi: The wait for Covaxin to be granted emergency use listing status by World Health Organization (WHO) just got prolonged as additional clarifications were sought from Bharat Biotech. But there’s at least some relief for India’s first indigenous COVID-19 vaccine.
Those who have taken both doses of Covaxin at least 14 days before travel can now fly to Oman without the requirement of quarantine.
“The Government of Sultanate of Oman has added Covaxin to the approved list of COVID-19 vaccines for travel to Oman,” the Emabassy of India, Muscat, stated on Wednesday.
Other COVID-related conditions/requirements, like pre-arrival RT-PCR test, will be applicable.
Passengers who have taken Covishield are already permitted to travel to Oman without having to quarantine.
