Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 positive cases continued to keep the downward trend as 216 patients tested positive in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 55 were detected in quarantine centres while 161 were local contacts. As many as 307 persons recovered from the disease during the period according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Of the quarantine cases, 9 were from Patia, 5 each from Nayapalli and Satya Vihar. The local contact cases included 11 from Chandrasekharpur and Nayapalli, 10 from Patia, 7 from Badagada, 6 each from Bomikhal, and Pokhariput.
With the new addition, the total positive cases in the capital city have gone up to 26,995. While 23830 patients have recovered, 133 have succumbed to the disease. There are 3011 active COVID-19 cases at present.
