Rourkela: A senior officer of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) died of COVID-19 on Monday.
The General Manager of Coke Oven department, YG Patil was undergoing treatment for coronavirus at the Ispat general Hospital here for the last 20 days. He was 59.
He is survived by wife, a daughter and a son.
His parents died a few days apart of non-COVID reasons after Patil’s admission to hospital, sources in RSP said.
Patil joined the fertiliser plant of RSP in 1988 and had earned the love of his staff for his positive attitude.
