COVID-19: Highest Single Day Spike of 133 Cases In Odisha’s Koraput, Tally Touches 1713

Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district touched 1,713 on Saturday with the highest single-day spike of 133 positive cases reported overnight.

According to the district administration, 64 were local contact cases and 50 were direct contacts. Another 18 had travel history and 14 are COVID warriors.

The highest of 36 new cases were from Jeypore municipality, followed by 32 from Koraput municipality, 19 from Dasmantpur, nine from Sunabeda, eight from Bandhugaon, six from Koraput block, five each from Pattangi and Borigumma, four from Laxmipur, three from Lamtaput, and one each from Boipariguda, Jeypore block, Kotpad, Kundra and Nandapur block.

With two deaths and 1,020 recoveries, Koraput has 691 active cases at present.
