New Delhi: India is inching closer to one crore milestone in COVID-19 infections and is the second worst-hit country after the United States.
However, there’s good news that the number of positive cases is coming down with each passing day. A total of 22,065 new COVID-19 cases were recorded overnight taking the overall tally to 99,06,165 on Tuesday with 354 deaths, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
It was on July 2, the last time India recorded around 20,000 cases when there were 20,903 fresh cases reported. On July 3, it was 22,771 and 22,251 cases were reported on July 6. India recorded 27,071 fresh cases on Monday.
The tolls have touched 1,43,709.
