New Delhi: India reported 2,539 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Thursday. This took the infections tally to 4,30,01,477. The fatality count rose to 5,16,132 with 60 new COVID-related deaths.
According to the health ministry, the active cases are 0.08 per cent of the total infections. India’s COVID-19 recovery rate slightly improved to 98.72 per cent.
A reduction of 1,106 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours, it said.
The number of people who have recovered from the infection soared to 4,24,50,055 and the case casualty rate was recorded at 1.20 per cent, said the ministry.
